The Missouri Supreme Court has appointed Martin Green to serve on a committee to investigate and evaluate the use of expert witnesses in litigation. The committee, composed of eleven leading lawyers and chaired by an appellate judge, was established “to study the use of experts and the discovery necessary to provide the parties with information useful to fully explore the experts’ views while containing the costs of such exploration to the parties and the courts.” The committee is authorized to recommend changes to the Supreme Court’s rules to the extent the committee believes such changes are desirable.
